The 6061 t6 aluminum sheet has stable performance and high hardness is widely used in industry such as trucks buildings ships vehicles furniture machinery moulds etc. The general purpose 6061 aluminum sheet plate is heat treatable resists cracking due to stress and is easy to weld and machine but limited on formability. 1 32 in. Chances are that you ll never make it to 90 degrees much less make it to an external angle of 100 degrees.

When you are bending 0 25 in thick 6061 t6 cracking can occur when bending past an external angle of just 86 degrees. When you are forming aluminum if the radius is sharp small in relation to the material thickness you will overwork the material making it harder more brittle and much more likely to fail.
